AMAP4DS - Author Christophe Andreani
AMAP4DS (A map for DS) is a simple, easy to use and fast map viewer for the Nintendo DS. It is first designed for metro and bus maps. It is not distributed alone but always with a hight quality specific map. You can find free several maps downloads below. If you wish to add your own map to AMAP4DS, download the AMAP4DS-Open-Source package (at the bottom of this page) and read the tutorial included.
If you have copyrights on some of the available maps and wish not to see these maps downloadable, just send me an email, I will erase them from the list.

AMAP4DS Open Source - Add your own map to your DS
If you want to add your own map to your DS using AMAP4DS, you must download the "AMAP4DS-Open-Source" package below.
Unzip it to read the "AMAP4DS-Open-Source-Tutorial.txt" tutorial file.
To add your map, you will need some skill in computer science and graphic design.
I did my best to write this tutorial, contact me if you have any questions.
You can send me your new maps to be published on this website to share your work with the community !

Open Source package to add your own map.
History
The first release of this map viewer homebrew was "Paris-metro" v1.0.
Then some major updates have been done.
The first part of the name, "AMAP4DS" is the map viewer engine's name.
The second part, "Paris-Metro" (for instance) references to the map itself.
This allows better identification for you to find what you are looking for.
V2 MAIN CHANGES
Larger high quality maps, one more zoom level using "thumbnail" (4 zoom levels available), centered zooms, variable speed scrolling, and economy mode allowing to close the DS without switching it off.
V3.0 MAIN CHANGES
One more zoom level (5 zoom levels available) and larger map resolution: up to 1536 x 1536 pixels.
New zoom-pad commands: "L"+Pad.Down = Zoom-Out, and "L"+Pad.Up = Zoom-In.
AMAP4DS can now be used the same way by left-handed or right-handed people :-)
V3.1 MAIN CHANGES
AMAP4DS logo, map name, author name and website name now appear in the linker menu (DS-Extrem, etc.).
V3.2 MAIN CHANGES
Some sound and touchscreen troubles have been corrected. AMAP4DS V3.2 should run fine on M3/R4 linkers now.
AMAP4DS V3.1 maps will be updated to V3.2 when I have time...

AMAP4DS emulator demo (for Windows)
This package allows you to have a quick taste of AMAP4DS functionalities. This will download NO$GBA V2.4f and one of the AMAP4DS V3.2 maps (NO$GBA is one of the best DS emulator for Windows).
1. Download the AMAP4DS-emulator-demo file.
2. Unzip it in any folder (no installation needed).
3. Into this folder, run the file "run" or "run.bat".
This will run the NO$GBA emulator with the AMAP4DS map file loaded. You now have a DS emulator on your computer with one of the AMA4DS map.
